What baby expenses are covered by HSA?

Hi everyone,

I have an employee Health Spending Account (HSA) and I’m expecting a baby boy. Are there any baby items that can be covered or reimbursed through my HSA? I’m in Alberta, if that makes a difference.

Most of these are at least partially covered by a solid health plan, but they’re also HSA-eligible, which makes them much more affordable.

From my own experience, these were some of the best things we used: a good breast pump, compression stockings, a supportive belly/back brace, prenatal massages, seeing a pelvic floor specialist, baby classes, and upgrading to a private hospital room.
