Why this page exists
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives California residents the right to opt out of the "sale" of their personal information. Even though we do not sell data, the CCPA requires that we offer this opt-out option clearly. So here we are.
What we do not collect
Before we get to the formal opt-out form, here is what we do not collect about you in the first place:
- Your name
- Your email address (unless you contact us)
- Your phone number
- Your due date or pregnancy information you enter into calculators
- Your baby's name, weight, vaccination records, or any other baby-specific data
- Your health conditions or medical history
- Your precise location (we use country-level only)
- Your payment information (we have nothing to charge for)
Calculator inputs stay in your browser. They never leave your device.
What we do collect
- Server access logs: Your IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps. Retained 30 days for security purposes. Not shared or sold.
- Country preference: Stored in your browser local storage on your device. Never transmitted to us.
- Cookie consent choice: Stored locally on your device.
- Anonymous aggregate analytics: Which tools are popular. No personal identifiers.
Do we share any of this?
We share data only in these limited cases:
- With our hosting provider (Hostinger). They see standard server logs as part of providing hosting
- With ipapi.co for country detection on first visit. Your IP is sent for the detection call, then not retained by us
- If required by law, court order, or to protect rights/safety
None of this is a "sale" under CCPA. We do not exchange your information for money or commercial benefit.
About advertising
We display country-targeted banner ads. The ad network selected may collect data about ad views per its own privacy policy. We do not pass them your specific information. The ad shown is selected based on your URL (which contains the country prefix), not based on profiling you.
If you click on an advertisement, the ad network may collect data per their privacy policy. To opt out of third-party ad tracking generally, visit the Network Advertising Initiative at networkadvertising.org or the Digital Advertising Alliance at aboutads.info.
Formal CCPA opt-out
If you would still like to formally exercise your right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information (even though we do not sell), please complete the request below:
To submit a formal CCPA opt-out request:
Email: privacy@prenatalcalculator.com with the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out Request"
Include: A statement that you are a California resident exercising your right to opt out under CCPA.
You do not need to provide identification. We will not require account creation or verification beyond confirming your California residency.
We respond within 15 business days as required by CCPA.
Your other CCPA rights
Under CCPA, California residents also have:
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you (last 12 months)
- Right to delete personal information we have collected
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising CCPA rights

Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require verification of the agent's authority and your identity.
Complaints to the Attorney General
If you believe we have violated CCPA, you can file a complaint with the California Attorney General at oag.ca.gov.
